Athlete Q & A
What situation or problem did you need to solve?
When I was 6 years old my right femur head collapsed. The bone grew back but didn’t reshape round. I was told sports probably wouldn’t work out well for me. When I started high school I had surgery to tilt the femur head out away from the socket because of almost constant pain. After the surgery I realized that for the past 8 years the left side of my body had been doing all the work because of my bad right hip. I had almost no muscle tone, little strength, poor rotation and flexibility in my right hip.
Why did you specifically select b project?
I heard from a family member how great Brad Jones was with rehabbing individuals and how passionate he was about his work. So, about six months after my surgery I got in to see Brad and Kristina.
What do you like best about b project?
I like how the workouts push me physically to be stronger and keep progressing. I also like that the treatments are intense enough where I feel and see a difference.
What is the hardest part about b project?
Workouts on the muscles I didn’t use for many years. Also, the dreaded table where Brad digs his fingers in and finds where work needs to be done.
What has changed since starting b project?
Everything! My right side is stronger. I don’t limp. I have much more rotation and flexibility. Overall I am sound, extremely active and able to excel in volleyball. After starting to work with b project my movement, jumping and quickness have increasingly progressed. I am so thankful for Brad and Kristina and their expertise.
Is there anything you’d like to add?
After my surgery I had gone to a couple of physical therapy appointments with my medical provider that just consisted of a few pretty lame exercises. Coming to b project was a totally different experience. Brad and Kristina listened carefully to my years of physical difficulties and were determined to provide me with a plan to get stronger and experience great results. I feel so blessed to have found b project!
