Athlete Q & A
What prompted you to seek b project’s services? What situation or problem did you need to solve?
I came to b project after a big knee and pelvis injury (tore my ACL, MCL, PCL and fratured my pelvis). My doctor had given me a 12-18 month recovery time for my ligaments to be strong and a 2 year recovery for my body to be full strength again. Before I came to b project, I was having a difficult time finding a physical therapist who knew treatments for my complex injury and also believed I could return to my professional snowboarding career in a timely matter.
Why did you specifically select b project?
b project came highly acclaimed to me by other professional athletes who had suffered injuries. After my first visit I knew I could trust their hands on treatment, knowledgeable staff, and workout programs.
What do you like best about b project?
I love the combination of hands on treatment and working out one-on-one with b project. Knowing how my knee and bodywork on the table makes my workouts that much more efficient because we know how to create equal alignment with no compensation. I know I will feel stronger each time I walk out of b project.
What is the hardest part about b project?
B project means business- in a fun and sore kind of way! Each day I walk in the door I know I will have to work hard and focus on my program, but I am always amazed at how much stronger I feel after each workout.
What has changed since starting b project?
I never realized how much I compensated through my other workouts. B project has taught me that even the simplest exercises can be challenging when done properly. I have a stronger body and better understanding of how to keep it this way.
Is there anything you’d like to add?
b project is the most reliable place to go for anyone recovering from an injury. The staff’s dedication and commitment to getting your body back to full strength and back to doing the sports you love is incomparable.
